About Adiyogi Statue

Adiyogi - The Source of Yoga is situated 30 kilometers (20 miles) west of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Coimbatore, a major industrial city in southern India, exactly at the downhill of the Velliangiri mountains.

Adiyogi Shiva statue was constructed by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev in 2017. This iconic image of Adiyogi is 112feet tall, 150feet long, 25feet wide and weighing 500 tons made of steel and known as “largest bust sculpture in the world” 

The 112 feet height of the statue represent the 112 chakras of the body that are used in meditation.

Shiva is regarded as the first yogi or the Adiyogi – the originator of yoga.

About My Sketch

On the occasion of Maha Shivs Ratri, just before one day I want to worship lord Shiva on my own way. Than started with a piece of paper and sharp end graphite pencil. Worked on that piece of paper having lots of lines and strokes. After that I got the outline structure, then started shading lighters and darker where ever it required. Removing un-necessary portions with eraser and finally a signature chanting Lord Shiva name.
